When I buy something I BUY IT. This does not mean that I only own a license
to use it, because that is total bull. I pay hard earned money for a product, I AM THE
OWNER OF IT. No one,
and I mean NO ONE has the right to tell me what I can and cannot do with the product.
If you OWN something, you can give or lease it to your friends, right?
Therefore, why should it be any different for songs, videos, or programs?
As long as I don't make money from the exchange, since I do not deserve to get money
because I didn't create the product, I should be allowed to do anything I want with
the above.
"But Voytek, how would you feel if your hard work was freely distributed on the internet?"
You know what? Look at the bottom of every page on this site, what do you see?
"CopyLEFT, What is this?" you say.
This means that you can freely distribute any of the stuff on this site as long
as you do not charge people money for it AND you give me credit for the work.
Ever hear of Open Source or GPL? Open Source is software that is released
under the General Pulic Licesne (GPL) which states that you may distribute the software,
make changes to it, as long as you give original credit to the creator.
I've written several programs which I have freely distributed under GPL, one has even given
a guy a raise at his job because it made his work much more efficient. So, to answer your
question:
"As long as you don't sell my stuff for money: copy it, share it, USE IT."
